Mage Duel Rules

Inside a duel

What the Tutorial Handbook teaches about mage duels.

  • Vitality Each fallen Jini costs a point; at zero the duel is lost.

In gameSame goes for your opponent, of course. Drain their Vitality down to zero and victory is yours!

  • Read the bench An opponent's benched Jini shows its stats once it has fought.

In gameJust keep in mind that they only show up here if they've already taken the field!

  • Switching costs a turn Swap out of a bad matchup, but your turn ends there.

In gameJust remember that changing Jinies ends your turn, so time it carefully.

  • Counter Skills Read the skill type your opponent will use, and strike first.

In gameA well-timed Counter Skill ignores Speed entirely, letting you strike first!
